| Coby's story by Marcelle, volunteer for Animal Matters I received a phone call from a young gentleman interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs. After speaking with him I realized the dog he was interested in wasn't the right fit for his family and offered to help him find a dog that would be. I sent him the information I had on Coby (below), and he agreed to take him sight unseen. Coby was facing certain death as the shelter had given him only one day left to live. We made arrangements with the shelter and would be transporting Coby to his new home! I had the pleasure of meeting Coby's new family and his new sister Reese, a Mini-Australian Shepard. However when Coby first arrived no one realized how sick he was and needed immediate attention. He was rushed to the vet's office first thing in the morning. After tests and weeks of antibiotics Coby was nursed back to health. I am happy to say, Coby is 100% healthy now! He has a wonderful family and a great life!!! Its people like this that make rescue so rewarding.
